Made it!

3 months ago, I signed up for an event to test my endurance and will-power. To push myself to the limits, to see how far I can go. Yesterday, was D-day I brought everything I had to the test. I ran in the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon with 30,000 others. And it was the best and most torturous experience I have ever gone through in my entire life! The adrenaline rush at the starting point cannot be described in words. You have to be there to feel it.

After flag off, headed down to marina bay. I officially hate that place now. I was running around in circles and it felt like eternity (not forgetting there are no atms there!!) before I finally made my way out of there man! As I was approaching the 5km mark, the Kenyans (i.e. front runners, pros) were already moving out of marina bay heading back towards esplanade. Thats 12km in 34mins! That's kinda fast. Talking about god must be crazy huh.. haa...

Upon reaching the 17km, they served up bananas at the drinks station. It was the best banana I had in my entire life. Somehow I felt damn hungry at that point of time and voila, they serve bananas there haa.. Ate it as though I havent eaten for days and proved most expensive than any abalone dishes you can think of at that point of time. =D

Anyway overall it was a good experience. People ask why I put myself through such torture and seriously speaking I don't know what I was thinking when I signed up. But 42km later, I truly understand why. It was all in the name of true satisfaction. I challenged myself and completed it all in 6 freaking hours. My legs are tattered and shattered. I can hardly stand up straight and walk without cringing but hey, I made it! *still in one piece =p* Time for a foot massage hiak!
