ROAR!

No, no, I'm not roaring cos I'm angry. In fact I'm quite happy haa. I was at the National Stadium last night to soak in the atmosphere of the Kallang Roar! It was the last time Singapore was going to play Malaysia in the National Stadium so I thought, why not?

It was raining hours following up to the match but I guess that didn't stop the 55,000 people from making their way to the stadium early. Traffic was a killer and I think I was caught in it for like 45mins to an hour before finally me and my friends decided to park the car somewhere near Geylang and walk down to the stadium. A 10mins walk which was more worth the while compared to being stuck in the jam.

Anyway due to the jam, we were late for the kick-off and only managed to make it into the stadium 25mins late. Well, we didn't miss a thing for the action only came in the 2nd half. The Kallang wave, the cheers, jeers, the foot stomping, it all felt surreal like we were back to the Malaysian Cup days. The sight of the capacity crowd which could only be seen mostly during National Day these days, was certainly a sight to behold.

Singapore end up eventual winners of the match, winning on penalties. A lousy way to end a game but oh well, a win is a win. Singapore is into the finals but then again I don't really care much if they won or lose the finals for they already beat Malaysia haa. A great experience I'd say, totally worth my time and money. Woo!
