"No Sh*t!"

This week makes or break my entire month. I have a whole lot of projects due and tonnes of expectations to meet. Hopefully I get out of it unscathed.

On my way home just now I had a random thought running through my mind. Does being articulate make you easily respected and accepted by all? And does the opposite make you look shallow? I personally think that in the society, it does. Many of us can easily judge a person through their manner of speech and tone of voice. Explicit languages used especially, can mean the difference whether you fall into a particular person's social group or not.

But does all this mean that it is a reflection that we (cmon we scold vulgarities at will in our daily lives sometimes) are shallow people? Some of us have this misconception that, yes you are shallow coz you are using all this bad words in your speech and it creates an awkward moment for others to be involved in that particular conversation. Judgements tend to be passed right there and then, and some of us will go all out defensive to protect our moral rights. Then there are minor slip of the tongues by these individuals which somewhat justifies people's perception of them; that they are indeed shallow minded individuals.

There is a time and place for everything. I just think that sometimes we cannot be too quick to judge other people. No doubt our unconscious mind is usually right but still we should always give others the benefit of the doubt and stand neutral to our feelings and perceptions.

With that, I leave you with this funny image I stumbled upon in FB. A meditating elephant which was hatched!

hi sham! crystal here poking around. thought id share with u something i've heard about words & language. Might not be exactly right, but essentially... "Words give man the power to say exactly what he means. And a man should always mean exactly what he says."
Which I hope gives a nice succint perspective to your pondering on this pariticular blog entry. :) Have a nice day
