We had this conversation the other night where Popo believed that in life, everything must have a balance. We somehow managed to kill her theory and deem it invalid as there were some other case studies which were being tabled to prove otherwise.
But it set me thinking just now that there is some truth in it. I guess those case studies were mere exceptions rather than the norm. For everything that I have managed to achieve thus far, somehow or rather, it's at a cost of something else. Studies and work accomplishments come at the expense of time spent with the family, gf and friends. No matter how you look at it, time is both an asset which is being converted into revenue and expense both at the same time. Why can't we have the best of both worlds?
It's simply cos we don't live in a perfect world. There will always be 2 extremes to everything. Good vs bad. Rich vs poor. Pretty vs ugly. Thin vs fat. Tall vs short. Life vs death. And that is the balance in life which will remain throughout our lifetime. For every door which closes, there will always be another which opens. So stop wallowing and pondering on the what ifs and move on into the open door. You never know what you gonna get. ;-)
