Materiality

Is life all about material things? Driving ourselves to the limits to get a car. Burning midnight oil every now and then to get good grades for exams in the infamous paper-chase. Working tirelessly to earn that extra cash. Money does bring about happiness eh?

But what is life really about? To me, it's about the fighting spirit of men. What would you do when you are staring death in the face? Would you just give all hopes up or would you tell yourself, "I'm not going to die, and even if I am, I won't go down without a fight."

A girl is fighting for her life and here we are squabbling and quarreling over trivial matters which don't really matter. There she is fighting and here we are complaining on how life is treating us bad and such. Have we ever thought that there is someone who is leading a harder and much tougher life than we are?

I say let's celebrate what's right with the world. Leave all those minor things behind. Look at things from a different perspective. Think long term, be useful to the society and most importantly be useful to yourself. Believe it and you'll see it because the gift of life is an invaluable and indespensable asset no one can ever take away from you.
