Yeah so the title says it all. I have been quite uninspired of late. Nothing in particular attracts my attention. Either that or the issues are just too sensitive to be spoken out right in the open. But something interesting did happen last night.
You do have to agree with me when I say that lending a listening ear goes a long way. How many of us can safely say that we are good listeners? I dare say that I'm one of the better ones around (chey de lah). In any case, last night I listened to a few problems all at once. Truthfully, listening can be very draining but enlightening at times. It allows one to reflect on one's current situation better and be more thankful towards the little things in life.
Even the most trivial of things, can spark off a misunderstanding. Even the most harmless comment, can crush one's confidence. Even the most obvious choice, can be one tough decision to make. Even the most logical things, can cause a rift in a friendship.
Most of the time, when we pour all our woes to someone, what we truly need is seriously just that, an outlet to let ALL our problems out. What we truly need is to rant! After which, usually we will move on feeling much better. It may seem like a person complain too much but to me, it is a healthy way to move on with life.
Imagine being bogged down by all these excess baggage and carrying them through our whole journey. Over time we will just slow down and not accomplish the things that we want to just because we are troubled by something else. So as often as possible do let it go and lighten your load. If letting go is that hard, then look into each issue that you might have, solving them one at a time. That way you can focus your mind to the problem in hand and putting things into perspective.
Remember, solving things with a cluttered mind, is as good as not looking into the issue at all. All you're doing is creating a bigger mess out of it. So take heart, reflect. Zennnnn yourself and life's good! ;-)
