I listened to an old "song" today by Baz Luhrmann called Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen). I remembered telling myself how unique a song it is the first time I heard it. It also took me sometime to actually source for the song before I finally found it.
It's one of those songs which made you think and go, "Hey, that sounds like me?". It's surprising how predictable human beings are when it comes to living. We don't appreciate, we try so hard to make ourselves look good even when it seems trying too hard, we spend our time worrying about things which we shouldn't and we are plain ignorant to the very obvious facts that are presented in front of us.
It is when things happen would we then acquire the wisdom and until then, we are pretty much on a blind journey, bashing through and hoping that we will reach our destination in one piece. And that my friends, won't change in a long time to come because it is through this blind journey that we learn and it is through this journey as well that we grow.
I, for one, am guilty of doing so. =)
