Goodbye 2010, Hello 2011!

Well I haven't been blogging much for the past few months. So I thought since it's the New Year, why not do a post to round up the year and to come up with resolutions for 2011!

Here's my big 5 of 2010:-

1) Relationships

2010 did not start as well as it should have been. Challenges were met and changes were made to my life in the relationship context with a lot of adjustments being made. However as with all things, downsides are met with upsides. My 2010 has ended up more or less complete and I couldn't have asked for more. So we'll see where 2011 will bring us. :)

2) Work

I haven't felt more alive working than I have during the second half of the year. The department more or less have settled and bonds were created. The camaraderie and spirit in the team hasn't been this high in a long while and I'm looking forward to the new year working on more awesome work with this bunch of guys.

3) School

I hate school (yes well nothing wrong with that right?). Working and studying did take a toll on my mental prowess and it is honestly very very tiring. Deadlines after deadlines and more late nights got me going bonkers! That said, it did however ended off nicely with me passing all my modules. Technically I'm down to my last semester during the first half of 2011 and I'm expecting this to be much more challenging than any of the previous semesters. But like they say, all things will turn out well in the end, and that is what I'm truly hoping for.

4) Friends

One word, blessed! I have been blessed with the greatest people around as friends. Year after year, different groups have kept me smiling and standing by me through tough times. Some got married, some got kids but what's important was that none of the friendship changed. (Although I have gotten numerous "When are you getting married?" questions for which I would never have any answer to)

Made a few new ones along the way as well especially with some of the colleagues. The most unlikely bunch of people and somehow hanging out did feel right.

5) Family

Lastly, family. They have seen all that I am - in my ups and downs. Words and material things would not be enough for me to express how fortunate I am to have them in my life. The nephew, despite not liking me that much considering how I always am the reference point to him getting any scolding of any sort, do lighten up my days with his cheekiness and innocent laughter. Never have been good with kids and never will but I guess that's alright. I can live with that. :)

And what is a new year without resolutions eh? Here's 5 to bring into 2011.

2011 Resolutions

1) To cook more
2) To read more
3) To travel more
4) To meetup with awesome people more
5) To love and care more #stuuf

So there you have it, big 5 aspects of 2010 that have affected my life the past 12 months that is worth getting a mention in this blog and also 2011 resolutions. Here's wishing everyone a very Happy 2011 and may awesomeness be achieved in the new year! Cheers!
